日曜日に3歳の娘と公園に行って、砂場で遊んでました。
砂場のある公園って少ないんですよね。
特に住宅街の公園は小さいんで、ベンチと滑り台だけ、という公園も少なくないです。
持論なんですが、粒が小さくなる造形ほど発想の自由がきくと思うんです。
僕も子供の頃、テレビもたくさん見たし、ゲームも徹夜でやりました。
特にスクウェア(スクウェアエニックスの前身)のゲームには、とても影響を受けましたし、それがあって今があるんですが、レールが敷いてあるというか、どういう結末になるかは、最初から決まってるんですよね。
その点、絵を描くとか工作をするとかは制限がなくて、頭と心の成長を促す上で、子供にとってすごくいいと思います。
レゴブロックもたくさんやりました。粒のルールというか秩序が追加される感じですよね。
健康や安全は何事にも代えられないですし、ルールも大事ですが、自由も大事です。
ガスバーナーやカッターナイフを使わせない学校もあると聞きます。「危ない」という理由で。
「ガスバーナーやカッターナイフを使ったことがない」方が「危ない」と思うのは僕だけでしょうか。
マリア・モンテッソーリというイタリアの教育学者が提唱した教育法の一つに、「縫う」という行為が入っているのも、針が刺さる痛みを通して、危険を認識するということの入門になるからなんでしょうかね。
縫い針が大怪我につながることは考えづらいですからね。
ゆうたら、「手軽に」「痛い」ということを学べると思います。
学校に限らないですが、教育の場は成功だけじゃなくて、失敗を学ぶ場所でもあると思うんですよね。
しかも大人が見守ってくれながら失敗できるって、子供からしたら心強いと思います。
アカンことしたら叱られたらいいし、叱られる練習にもなります。
「怒られ慣れ」しないままに大人になると、怒られた時のリアクションがうまく取れず、うまく謝れなかったり、爆発することにもなります。
で、あーだこーだ言いながら砂遊びしてたんですけど、トンネル作るの楽しいですよね。
水流すとテンション上がります。笑
子供用のスコップでおっさんが汗流しながら必死こいてる姿は結構シュールやったと思います。笑
2時間いましたわ。笑
社員のみんなにもよく言うんですが、仕事も仕事以外も充実してて、週末リラックスして、また一週間仕事やるで！と気持ち切り替えられるのが理想ですね。

My daughter and I went to a park for sand play last Sunday.
There are little parks which have a sandbox in my town. In particular, parks in an area which many people live are very small. Some parks only have a few benches and a slide.
I think people can make ideas freely when they use smaller grains.
Wooden blocks are big.
Particles of paints are small.
I used to watch many TV shows in my childhood. I also played video games, sometimes all night. In particular, I was impressed by Japanese video games maker Square (Square Enix at present). In fact, I've learned many things from video games. But I think video games looks like rails for trains. They have an already decided finale when makers made.
In that sense, painting and handicraft is not limited. They are more educational for kids to train and cultivate than video games.
I used to play with LEGO blocks. They are good to get used to rules and order.
First of all, healthy and safety are the highest priority. That's why rules are very important.
But, freedom is important at the same time.
I've heard of what there are elementary schools such as the following. Some schools do not let students use gas burners and utility knives. Because the schools consider burners and knives as dangerous things.
I think it is more “dangerous” what kids have “no experience about gas burner and utility knives”.
Maria Montessori, was an Italian physician and educator, advocated her educational ways. One of them is a knitting with needles. I guess one of reasons she selected it. Because kids can study about recognizing small danger through pain of stabbing their fingers by needles.
It is hard to think that needles make big damage.
It is an easy way to study about pain.
I think schools are places to study not only success but failure. It is useful that kids "can" make failures when adults are seeing. If kids do something to be scolded, adults scold them. That becomes a training to be scolded for kids.
If kids have not gotten used to being scolded, they can’t react well and can't apologize well when they get old. In a bad case, it is possible that they explode anger.
Anyway, my daughter and I played in a sandbox while chatting.
I like making a tunnel with sand.
I get excited to see a tunnel gets water. lol
It was maybe pretty funny that an adult man dug frantically a sand tunnel with a children's scoop. lol
We played two hours. lol
I hope my workmates work productively. And I also hope they enjoy their personal life.
I often say to my workmates so.
Relaxing weekends are very important for not only personal life but good works.
